Sealed, written formal bid proposals for the above bid will be received by the Board of Education of the
Leake County School District, in the Business Office, 109 West Main Street, Carthage, Mississippi 39051,
until 2:00 p.m. Local Prevailing Time August 20, 2024, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five calendar days from the date bids are opened.

All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are encouraged to attend the NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE on JULY 31, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., at 109 West Main Street, Carthage, Mississippi 39051. Failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference will not result in rejection of submitted proposals.

All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi.

Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
